I love the contrast between the two collages, but even in the columbine photos between the downward facing flowers and the upward reaching seed pods. (Are those seed pods?)
@GWGT - Thanks Donna! Have been trying to take some good photos of the columbine and it finally happened.
@Masha - The penstemon will have a home in a friend's garden soon. They're some that reseeded right at the front of a border.
@Kate - I thought I was picking out periwinkle paint for the shed, but it ended up being light blue. And turned out to be a pretty background for the photos.
@Giga - Your imagery about colors that eagles could not see is beautiful. Thank you.
@Stacy - They ARE seed pods! They look little torches and the columbine remind me of fireworks.
Gorgeous!!!!!!!!! Opposites do attract.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, and so color-coordinated! I wish I could pluck out the columbine and penstemon and take them from your pictures into my garden...
ReplyDeleteThe way you captured the rusty columbine against the blue background is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteTakiego koloru orlików jeszcze nie widziałam . Śliczne. Pozdrawiam

ReplyDeleteLove how you did this!

@Cathy and Steve - Thanks, my garden is still filling in so I haven't been able to take any wider photos, yet.
ReplyDeleteI love our Colorado columbine, but the Arizona one is really eye-catching. But all these photos are beautiful.
ReplyDelete@Patricia - I've never been able to get the Colorado one to grow here. The coloring is so pretty, but mine usually succumb to aphids.
