It was great to come home from vacation and find flowers in my garden. The California poppies reminded me of butterflies alighting and ascending into the sky.
These have got to be one of the cheeriest flowers out there! What a lovely thing to come home to. You've inspired me to add them to my "someday" list. Someday SOON, I hope!
I'm saving seeds to scatter. Mine are almost done. Summer heat and humidity here will take them out.
ReplyDelete@NellJean, I should try more seed collecting and scattering.
ReplyDeleteWe planted these every year in the garden - how I love them so
ReplyDeletePoppies are such bright and happy flowers. And they look really happy planted here, Girlsprout.

ReplyDelete@HH UK, thanks for stopping by! Can't wait to read Part 2 of your Cornwall post!
ReplyDelete@gardenwalk and @redgardenclogs, they're such a cheery delight! I go outside and can't help but regard them.
Ahh, I remember these in many a sun-baked alleyway on the west coast- beautiful!
ReplyDelete@Kate, what a great mental image!
