Chicken Curry and Dal

I had my friends, Nancy and Bob, over for dinner tonight. Nancy was born in India where her parents were missionaries. So the menu this evening was influenced by the flavors of India (insofar as I could capture them).
Lentils that I used for the dal and chicken curry.

Some cucumber salad to cool down the curry.

My new favorite dessert. Berries and mango sorbet. Tart, tangy, and slightly sweet.

  1. I love Indian curry, but my attempts at making it haven't turned out too well. I make a killer Thai red curry though. Mango anything is good with me :)

  2. Owen, I use Patak's hot curry paste and it's worked out well for me. The instructions on the jar advise about additional ingredients to use.

  3. Mmmmm, I love curry. One of these days, I'm going to have to get serious about learning to make Indian cuisine. I have a handful of recipes, and that's it. This must change!
